How do I maintain the battery?Updated a year ago
Batteries don't like cold and damp. So store your bike in a dry place with as little exposure to sunlight as possible. Also, if you're not going to be using the bike for a long time (a few months), we recommend leaving the battery charged to 50-60%.
It's always very important to keep the protective cap on the wheel connector. You don't want any dust or water to get inside the battery, which could damage it.
The best way to maintain your battery is to alternate between :
- Short, regular charges
- Long charges (8 to 10h), even if the green LED on the charger lights up from time to time, especially if the bike has not been used for some time.
- 3-4 full charge/discharge cycles (100% -> 0%) from time to time to rebalance the battery cells.
If you don't use your bike for a while, maintain a charge of around 60% and carry out a long charge before using it again. Also, turn the wheel from time to time to avoid freezing the cells.
