How well does the E-JITENSHA assist on hills?Updated 10 months ago
The assistance system is ideal for climbs of up to 10%, which you can negotiate effortlessly at 18-20km/h.
For climbs of 10-16% (very steep), the motor delivers power as long as it senses your pressure on the crankset (there are 32 sensors). You'll need to press a little harder on the pedals.
There's also a remote control with a “boost” button that temporarily increases power.
Finally, as each JITENSHA is assembled to order, we can fit your JITENSHA with a larger sprocket for easier climbing (19 or 20 teeth vs. 18 as standard).
