What to do in the event of a punctureUpdated 9 months ago

If you get a puncture, any bicycle repairer will be able to help you. Our tire sizes are 700x28c and 700x25c. Standard tubes in these sizes can be found in any bike store.

In the event of repeated punctures, please check the condition of your tires and their pressure. Over-worn or under-inflated tires are more prone to punctures.

All sizes of inner tube can be fitted to the JITENSHA. We specifically use CPA Butyl tubes, but Decathlon or other brand models are also suitable.

Here are a few tips to avoid pinching the inner tube during reassembly:

Before reassembly, inflate the new inner tube slightly so that it takes its shape.

Check the condition of the rim base and its correct position.

Make sure the tube is not pinched by one of the tire blanks before reinflating.

If you're using tire changers, be careful not to crush the tube when inserting the blanks.

If you follow these instructions, the tube should not puncture.
