For everyday use, you don't need your phone. The bike starts with 3 turns of the pedals backwards. The phone with the app is used to change modes, lock the wheel, view battery level, bike statistics and send a wheel diagnostic.
The motor can be started without the help of the application by simply turning the pedals backwards 3 times. The assistance system will switch to the last mode used. To change modes, either use the app or the optional remote control.
From the app, you can lock the wheel to protect against theft. Park your JITENSHA and lock the wheel from the app. The wheel will remain locked until you reactivate it from the app. When someone tries to ride your bike, the wheel will lock automatica
