Battery Range and ChargingUpdated 7 hours ago
Your battery’s range depends on several factors:
- The assistance mode selected
- The relief
- The type of route (frequent stops and starts versus longer rides without stopping)
- How much effort you put into pedalling
- Tyre pressure
Up to 45 km of range
Our all-in-one electric assistance system offers one of the best power-to-range ratios on the market:
- Eco: up to 45 km
- Custom: up to 35 km
- Turbo: up to 25 km
The ranges indicated are measured on a test bench and may vary depending on your usage.
Eco and Custom modes can be customized (maximum assistance power and speed) via the Zehus app (on iOS and Android). This allows you to fine-tune your settings for even greater range.
KERS: Recover energy as you ride
The motor features a KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) that recovers energy during braking and backpedalling, regenerating the battery and increasing range by 10 to 20%.
KERS works by gently backpedalling and also acts as a smooth, natural motor brake. This feature is greatly appreciated by our customers.
The Zehus technology used by Jitensha is the only one to offer this feature on an electric bike.
Simple and fast charging
The battery is integrated into the rear wheel for a sleek design and convenient charging directly from a mains socket. Very simple:
- Connect the charger supplied with your bike to the wheel connector
- Plug the charger into a mains socket
- Once charging is complete (the charger LED turns green), unplug the charger
You can charge your battery to 80% in just 2 hours and to 100% in 3 hours.
We also offer an external battery that lets you charge your Jitensha without needing a nearby power outlet.
